Letter V/ Valentine's Day Preschool Theme

Happy Valentine's Day!  Today we talked about the letter V and Valentine's.  Be sure to check out what we did yesterday with a heart theme.
The main source of our activities today comes from Confessions of a Homeschooler's V is for Valentine Prek Printable Pack.
Over the Big Moon's Valentine's Day Pre-K Pack has  a lot of fun and cute activities.
Musings of Me also has a Valentine's Day Unit with lots of preschool activities.
Homeschool Creation's has a Valentine's Day Printable Pack that has some great activities.
Lawteedah also has a Valentine Tot-Kit worth looking into.  2 Teaching Mommie's Sweetheart Pack is also full of some fun activities. 3 Dinosaur's has a Valentine Printable Pack as well.  You can also check out my 2012 post about Valentine printables.

We had a great time with this little valentine craft.  My son cut out paper in any shape and size that he wanted and then glued it onto a paper.  After he did that I cut it into a heart shape.
Here are some more heart crafts and ideas to check out.  Here is a fun hand print card to do with your child.

Here are 10 of my favorite children's books about love.  Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Letter V/Volcanoes

Today we talked about the letter V and volcanoes!

Visit Starfall for some fun Letter V activities!

Today we used a Letter V for volcano pack from Me and Marie Learning.  My son enjoys figuring out words that have v's in them and drawing pictures in the little books.
He also enjoyed doing more q-tip painting for the letter v which you can find to print here.
We watched some videos of real volcanoes.

We also made our own volcano in a cup with 1/4 cup baking soda and some white vinegar.  We did that about a dozen times.  He loved it so much he had to get his dad who was home to come watch.

Preschool Alphabet also has some fun volcano activities.
If all goes as planned we will finish up the alphabet by the end of the week.
