Flower Preschool Theme

Today for preschool we talked about flowers!
We read "The Tiny Seed" by Eric Carle.  Here is a video version if you do not have the book. It is a good book that helps go through the life cycle of a flower in a basic way.
2 Teaching Mommies has a great Flower Unit to check out.
Making Learning Fun has lots of flower themed activity ideas.
My son did a finger painting of flowers.  He had a great time.
Here is what I did for a flower theme in 2011 with my older boys.

Flower Petal Counting Game

Tomorrow we are going to be talking about flowers.  Here is a flower petal counting game that we will be doing.
Cut out enough circles for the number of petals you are going to have (I have seven).  Then number them.
Then cut out enough petals so that your child can put the corresponding number of petals on each one.
Here is a close up shot of our flower with seven petals.  Hopefully, it'll be a lot of fun!
P.S.  I used my Cricut Machine and the Walk in the Garden Cartidge to make this super easy to make!
