Letter I/Igloo Preschool Theme

Today we talked about the letter I and igloos!

The main source that I used for this theme came from 1+1+1=1 with her letter I igloo printables. These are some of the great activities including in the pack of printables.
We also made an igloo.  My son had a great time cutting pieces of white paper and gluing them on to a page.  I drew some lines to make an igloo and he pasted the pieces of paper in those lines.  Then he wrote a letter I over the top. I got this idea here.
We enjoyed watching these video clips about igloos that you can find here and here.

Here are some other links to igloo and the letter I ideas from Pocket Full of Posies and from Totally Tots.

Now I am ready for some warmer topics.  Haha.

Letter I/Inchworm Preschool Theme

Today we talked about the letter I for inchworm.  Here is the link to the printables we have been using for the letters of the alphabet.
We visited Starfall and did the letter I activities.

We also watched a video clip of Inch by Inch by Leo Lionni since we do not own the book.  It is a cute story about an inchworm.

I came across a cute inch worm craft that I knew we had to try ourselves.  You need paper, paint, a plastic fork, and some little strips of paper for the inchworms.  Here is my son enjoying the painting process using a fork instead of a paint brush.
The paint is the grass and then he glued the strips of paper so we could have inchworms.
