My son has been over two and a half for nearly a month now and with him showing signs of readiness here and there we are starting to think about potty training. In actuality I've been thinking about it a long time. I bought a book awhile back and have almost finished reading it. I've done lots of looking in stores and on the internet for a boy doll that "uses the potty" (is it so wrong to want a boy not a girl doll?) and I've done some looking for potty chairs as well. I found the one I want to buy, but it looks like that will be an internet purchase see I can't find it in any stores and I've looked in a bunch. Here it is pictured on the right. It is a BABYBJÖRN Potty Chair - Blue. Is anyone else a fan of another potty chair? I am not interested in getting one that flushes, plays music, or has unneeded things like a toilet paper roll. I thought this one looked comfortable and you can remove the inside instead having to pick up the entire chair to dump it out.
I have been looking in stores everywhere for a boy doll that wets. I have found tons of girl ones, but I really don't want a girl with long hair and pink and what not for my little boy. Even on the internet I've only found one that I would actually purchase and he is a spendy little guy. He is darling and you can get him in different packages. This one is the most basic shown to the left. His name is Potty Scotty which I thought was cute. Does anyone know of any other boy potty training dolls out there? I found a couple of other ones that weren't much cheaper and not nearly so cute.
We spend around $40 a month on diapers so if we were to spend less than $120 for all the potty training supplies (including underwear and things like that) we would be money ahead after three months.
If anyone has any tips or helps for potty training send them my way because I'm sure I will be needing all that I can get in the next couple of months.
