Letter F/Frog Preschool Theme

Today we talked about the letter F and frogs!
My son asked if we could read "I'm a Frog!" by Mo Willems.  It is a cute easy-reader story.  He helped me read it in fact.
We talked about the life cycle of a frog with this printable to help use as a visual.
We used many activities from this Frog in the Pond Preschool Pack.
2 Teaching Mommies has a Frog Unit printable Pack.
My husband helped us out by folding this simple origami frog.  It does a little hopping.
We sang "Five Green and Speckled Frogs" using these cute frogs.  We also went to Starfall and found the song there and did the letter F activities.

Letter F/Fish Preschool Theme

Today we talked about the letter F for Fish.
Check out Starfall's letter F activities.

Confessions of a Homeschooler's letter F/Fish printables can be found here.
Here is a fun little activity from these printables using goldfish crackers.

We are big fans of  "The Pout-Pout Fish" and "The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark" by Deborah Diesen and Daneil X. Hanna.  We had fun reading both books.
We sang a little fish song.
"Ten little fish swam in the sea.  Red, blue, and some were green.  They swam all over until one said, 'I am tired.  I'm going to bed.'" Then repeat down to one fish.  These are some visuals I have had on hand.
This is a little math activity I made years ago.  Give the fish the corresponding amount of worms.  I did it freehand and it has been a fun little activity for my little ones.
Of course, we had to have more fun with goldfish so we sorted these goldfish by color and counted how many of each color we had.
Then my son painted on a paper plate and we made a little fish.  He has had a great time playing with it.
The fish was swimming.  Kind of looks like he is about to take a bite of my son to me.
Pretty easy, yet really fun day for us.
