Dr Seuss Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

Today we read "Mr. Brown Can Moo!  Can You?"  and then we did a few activities to go with this story.
You can find these fun activities here.

This fun game you can find at 2 Teaching Mommies.

We only have one story left that we will be covering during our Dr. Seuss celebration.

Dr Seuss: Hop on Pop

Today my son read "Hop on Pop" to me.  He only needed help a couple of times.  He did great.
He practiced writing a few words from the story that was in a Seussical Pack found at Living Intentionally.
Then we did several fun activities that you can find at www.seussville.com or here.
Then he drew a picture of his Dad.  He gave him glasses and everything.
I had him draw that picture so that he could "hop on pop".  He had a lot of fun doing that.

Dr Seuss: The Lorax

Today we read "The Lorax".  Afterwards we talked a little bit about what we can do to take care of the Earth.
2 Teaching Mommies has a really great free pack to go with this book.  Here are a few of the activities we did.
Then we made our own Truffula Trees.  My son glued pom-poms onto a piece of paper and then used a brown crayon to draw the tree trunks.

Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who

Today was another low-key day with preschool.  We will be doing more activities on Dr. Seuss books next week as well.  Today we read "Horton Hears a Who".
This activity talks about small, smaller, smallest, and big, bigger, biggest.  You can find it here.
We also made a little clover with a pom-pom and pipe cleaner.
I was also going to have my son draw a picture of what he thought Whoville looked liked, but he had no interest in doing that so that was that.

You can also watch "Horton Hears a Who".

Dr Seuss: Horton Hatches the Egg

Today was a low-key preschool day.  We read "Horton Hatches the Egg" and talked about what it means to be faithful and how Horton was faithful throughout the book.

Then we made a paper plate elephant.  You can find a template at Seussville.
This little activity came from a pack I found on What a Teacher Wants.  He decided if he could mix two animals together he would have a monkey and an elephant.
My little one wanted a turn showing off the book we read today too.
