Spiders

Gathering Time:
Put body parts of spider together (cardstock or felt) 8 legs, most have 8 eyes
Sing, “Itsy Bitsy Spider” with visuals
Read "The Very Busy Spider" by Eric Carle.  If you don't own this book this lady has a cute flannel board version you could show your child.
Little Miss Muffet Nursery Rhyme
Focus Activities:


See below for paper plate web.
Paper Plate Web- punch/poke holes in a paper plate randomly and pull yarn through for a spider web look. We colored ours black.  You could also use black paper instead of a paper plate.
Make spider snack- Ritz Crackers, raisins, pretzels, peanut butter

What a good way to get your children doing something constructive. I loved making things like that when I was a child (A VERY long time ago) but didn't know if people still did that stuff anymore with their children.
