One Hungry Monster/Monsters

I could not find any visuals to go with this book so I decided to make my own.  You can see them pictured below.  I made ten monsters to go with the gathering time activities, ten more monsters holding different types of food, and a feeding the monster a shape activity with one of the focus activities.  If you are interested in having these activities let me know so I can work on making them available!  :)
Gathering Time:
Read “One Hungry Monster” by Susan Heyboer O’Keefe (put up a new monster each time on flannel board)
Match food and monsters with corresponding number
Point out that monsters are just pretend and do not exist
Sing, “Ten Little Monsters” (Tune of Ten Little Indians) with monster visuals
Recall the various places that the monsters were hiding (one under the bed…)
Focus Activities:
Monster Shape Matching Game
Feed the Monster Bean Bag Toss
(I have no drawing abilities-none so I enlisted the help of my husband in drawing this monster for our bean bag toss.  I think he did a good job.  I taped the posterboard to boxes to help it stand up)
Other Possibilities:
Watch Monsters Inc.
Felt Monsters
RESOURCES:
