Name Unscrambling Game

Here is a little game we played today to work on name recognition.  I wrote all the letters of the boy's names down, cut them up, folded the paper, and put them in a hat.  Then the boys took turns picking out a piece of paper.  First they had to decide if that letter was in their name or their brothers and then once we got all of the letters out of the hat we unscrambled the letters to spell out their names.  Then we reviewed each letter in their name.  Both of them are great about recognizing the first letter in the name and the first letter in the others name, but not so much the other letters so this was a fun way  practice.

  1. Great idea! I like that they are folded up and put into a hat! The randomness of drawing them out makees it exciting and different each time.
