Preschool Activities March 1-5, 2010


It's Dr. Seuss's birthday!  Here are some fun activities to do.  We are keeping things low key here.  Hoping a baby comes soon.

Dr. Seuss Language Arts- Read "One Fish Two Fish…" by Dr. Seuss
Math- color sorting with colored goldfish crackers
Science/Cooking- have Swedish fish for a snack (count them)
Gross Motor/Music- Fishing Game: use a pole with magnet on the end, put paper clip on paper fish and pretend to go fishing
Art/Fine Motor- precut fish, free draw and decorate using whatever supplies you want


Language Arts- Read "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss
Math- Name other foods that are the color green
Science/Cooking- Make green eggs and ham
Gross Motor/Music- Pin the egg on the ham
Art/Fine Motor- Green eggs and ham collage


Language Arts- Read "Fox in Socks"
Math- Match socks, sort, and put in piles according to who they belong to
Science/Cooking- Make and eat Blue Gloo (blue jell-o)
Gross Motor/Music- Sing "This is the Way We Put on our socks"
Art/Fine Motor- Make a sock puppet
